Saul Gabriel Millan (b.1994) is a multidisciplinary artist and composer from the border town of Nogales, Sonora/Arizona. Millan began his artistic journey as a classically trained musician and studied Jazz at the University of Arizona. After his studies, Saul moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he formed punk-cumbia band, Los Esplifs. Millan’s introduction to visual arts came with his move to Phoenix, designing flyers for local art and music shows. Inspired by Fluxus, Arte Povera and "Duchampian" theories, in addition to Music composition, Saul began to create and mold his current art practice.  Mirroring their intersectional upbringing Saul mixes musical performance, assemblage, sound art, installation and collage, to create their body of work.

Exploring concepts found in music composition, Saul utilizes the electronic music technique of  "Sampling"
(the process of taking a piece of audio and reworking it as part of a new composition),
as the framework in creating his visual works. Through assemblage, Readymade sculpture and collage, Millan "Samples" his surroundings and explores the decontextualization of the object/image and its infinite new possibilities.

Since 2022, Millan has presented his work at Museo de Arte de Sonora (MUSAS) (Hermosillo, Sonora), Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana-Casa Rafael Galvan (Cuidad de Mexico), Phoenix Art Museum (Phoenix, AZ) and Palabra Collective (Phoenix, AZ).

Saul currently lives and works in Phoenix, Arizona.
